Police arrests 12 activists from Maitighar Madela
Police have arrested 12 rights activists from Maitighar on July 5 on charge of demonstrating, demanding to address the issues of Gangamaya and Govinda KC along with declaring Maitighar Mandela as a restricted zone.
The activists have also demanded to withdraw the government decision to make Maitoghar Madala as a restricted zone.
According to the right activist Lok Raj Awasthi, the arrested were Charan Prasai, Dr Surendra Bhandari, Dr Uddhav Pyakurel, Mahamunishwor Acharya, Manoj Adhikari, Mohan Gyawali, Lokendra Pokhrel, Bishwo Duwal, Jaya Ram Dahal and Indra Prasad Aryal.
Theye are kept at Anam Nagar police circle. They were staging protest against the government decision to make Maitighar Mandela as a restricted Zone.
