Plantation of bomb near the program venue of UML

A socket bomb has been found near the set of Mechi-Mahakali national campaign of UML at Gajendra Narayan Singh industrial area, Basbitti VDC.

DSP Dan Bahadur Karki of District Police Office informed that Sri Krishna battalion bomb disposal team has reached the scene of crime. The life of general people in the districts i.e. Rajbiraj , Kanchanrup , Bharadha markets has been seriously affected due to the obstruction against Mechi-Mahakali campaign that is about to be held on March 6. United Democratic Madhesi Front called off general strike in Saptari district protesting against the UML campaign. Long and short route of vehicles are also affected by the strike except two wheeled vehicles. The main markets and educational institutions are also closed.

Front leader activists since morning in Kanchanrup, Bhardaha has been protesting through stick rallies and burning tyres. The local administration has informed about maintaining the peace and harmony intact avoiding mishaps. “1500 security personnel have been deployed for the prevention” said Uddhav Timalsina,CDO Saptari.

CPN-UML has changed the venue of mass meeting from the Raj Stadium in Rajbiraj to the Maleth VDC-based Gajendra Narayan Singh industrial area, which is three km away from Rajbiraj due to security concerns however the Front leaders are protesting to disrupt the program in that area too.

Police have arrested ten demonstrators from Saptari Kanchanrup, according to central secretary of RMSP Gajendra Mandal. Front cadres who were involved in obstructing the traffic of East-West Highway in Saptari, Kanchanrup have been arrested as informed by DSP Dan Bahadur Karki of District Police Office.

The UML party has appealed UDMF to not to create any obstruction in pre-declared program. Since, everyone has the right to express their ideas on democracy; UDMF must be responsible towards any mishaps if occurred. UML cadres in the district are urged to subdue themselves in the program.
