One Severely Injured By Police Firing
Prem Mahato (34) of Madhyabindu Municipality-2 was severely injured due to the firing of police. He was injured when Sub Inspector Ganga Ram Koiri from Kolhuwa Police Station of Madhyabindu-3 shot him on 7 March 2020.
During the patrolling, team of Sub Inspector Ganga Ram Koiri from Kolhuwa Police Station was attacked with stones so he shot Mahato in self-defence, said SP Dipak Regmi of District Police Office.
In the patrolling the police found three men in a bike and stopped them for investigation. Meanwhile these men tried escaping, attacking SP Koiri with stone.
One Khukuri and a bike numbered Na 49 Pa 6513 was found from them. Injured SI Koiri and Prem Mahato were being treated at the Medical College of Bharatpur, informed Regmi. Police has also arrested Munna Mahato (30) and Surah Mahato (19) of Madhyabindu-3.
