The cadres of left alliance have padlocked the office of the chief election officer on November 19.
The office was padlocked against the decision taken by the office of the chief election officer to withdraw polling staffs from 52 polling stations even after getting appointment letter.
CPN UML central member and candidate of left alliance Lal Bahadur Thapa said that the office was padlocked because the staffs were withdrawn with the intention of capturing the polling station by employing favorable staffs.
The cadres of left alliance also chanted slogans against the decision and raised question on the credibility of chief election officer.
Election Officer Subhadra Gautam was locked inside the office for about an hour. The left alliance said that the office will be padlocked until the decision is not withdrawn.
