The protest comes a day after District Police Office organized a press conference to say that Dilip Singh Bista, 41, of Bhimdutta -19, was the main accused in the crime. However, locals are not convinced as they claim he is a lunatic. They have accused the police of trying to frame him in the case.

Civil society organizations and human rights defenders have been mounting pressure on the police to reveal the facts behind the heinous crime.
