NHRC urges smooth operation of Health Services
The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has said that its serious attention has been drawn on the situation of violation of health rights of people due to the ongoing strike by the health professionals nationwide against the government’s decision of compensating doctor if found guilty on death of the patient that they are treating due to their negligence.
The commission’s spokesperson and member Mohana Ansari said that the commission during its monitoring has found that the strike has severely affected the patients and deprived their right to health.
The commission said that such step by the health organization has deprived and violated the basic fundamental rights of people and risked the health of thousands of people nationwide. The commission has urged the concerned authority take this issue very seriously and maintain their professionalism.
