Police have arrested 30 years old Yogendra Chauhan, district secretary of Nepal Communist party along with four cadres on November 12 on charge operating anti-election activities in the district.
Only Chauhan’s name has been publicized and all arrested will be taken into custody for further investigation according to DSP Eek Narayan Koirala. He added that action will be taken against those operating anti-election activitie.
According to Gorkha district representative Hari Ram Uprety, police have arrested seven cadres of Nepal Communist party on November 11 and 12 to maintain security in the district.
Police have not publicized the name of the cadres as they are under interrogation according to DSP Bhesh Raj Rijal. Other cadres arrested on November 13 have been made public and they are Bharat Koirala, Bishal Gajurel, Gokul Kumal, Anil Kumal, Bhola Bhujel and Rajan Bhatta.
