Police have arrested cadres of Nepal Communist Party led by Netra Bikram Chand from various district on charge of operating anti-election activities.
According to INSEC district representative Man Datta Rawal from Jumla, two NCP cadres were arrested by the police. Bua Police post at Hima rural municipality have arrested the cadres of NCP on November 17.
The arrested were Hait Buda of Hima Rural Municipality-7 and Kul Bahadur Shahi from the same municipality-5 according to ASI Chudamani Pun.
According to him, they were arrested for security reason as they might possess security thereat for the upcoming election.
Police said that the arrested will be kept in custody until the end of the election. On November 16, the cadres of NCP had captured the election materials for voter’s education and destroyed it.
The NCP party has been organizing anti-election activities demanding to void the HoR and provincial election in November 26 and December 7.
According to the INSEC district representative Bhagiswor Limbu of Terathum, police have arrested three cadres of NCP on November 18 on charge of operating anti-election activities.
The arrested were Shahidhar Thatal, Ram Krishna Rijal and Gauri Sapkota and all of them were arrested from various places for the investigation purpose. The district has been tightening security after a series of explosion incidents in neighboring districts.
