Minister’s attention drawn demanding the investigation and action against the killing a girl after Rape
An attention of Law and internal affair minister Prakash Bahadur Shah of the province number 7 has been drawn by the Kanchanpur local representatives and civil society members on July 31 demanding the action against the murderer of 13 years old Nirmala Panta after rape.
A joint team of local representatives and leaders from civil society led by vice chair Sanu Kumari Budathapa of District coordination committee had drawn the attention of the minister demanding the action against the accused, fair investigation, establishing temporary police post in the incident site.
Rights activist Bhagwati Thapa said that recently there has been increase in drugs and alcohol consumption in the district.
After the attention was drawn, the minister Shah said that severe action will be taken against those involved in an incident. He added that new security planning and policies will be formulated for the province number 7to control the criminal activities.
