Memorandum to PM pressurizing to be state party of Rome Statue
Memorandum has been handed over to the Prime Minister through CDO by various organizations led by INSEC office Biratnagar demanding for the ratification of Rome Statue of International Criminal Court.
At least 12 organizations working in rights field have handed the memorandum to the Prime Minister through CDO Ram Prasad Acharya on the occasion of international justice day.
INSEC Biratnagar coordinator Som Raj Thapa said that the memorandum was handed over to exert pressure to the government to be state party to Rome statute.
124 countries have already ratified Rome statute. The countries like Bangaladesh, Maldives and other 19 Asian countries are already a state party of Rome statute.
