Medicine Crunch in Bajura
Almost in all health organizations in Bajura are in shortages in an essential medicine. Public Healh Officer Ramesh Kunwar said that along with the reconciliation of local levels, the shortage in medicine has hit the district.
The health organizations are in shortage of 70 types of free medicine, disposable syringe, Iron capsule and Citamol.
Kunwar said that no initiation has been taken for the purchasing process of the medicine.
“With the money from the last financial year some medicine has been purchased however due to the geographic location, it could not be transported to certain parts”, according to chief Rup Chandra B.K of District Health Office.
Nepal Government has announced to provide 70 types of free medicine to the patients.
