Another inmate Arman Ansari is also disabled and said that he is also compelled to go to toilet with assistance from his fellow inmate. Similarly, Bir Bahadur Thokar is also disabled and he needs assistance to walk around.

Toilets and building of the prison are not disabled-friendly and they cannot move around the building without assistance according to jailer Chiranjibi Thapa. He stressed that the building must be a disabled-friendly. He added that another newly built prison building in Bhimfedi is not disabled friendly.

“At least if the first floor of the prison and toilets are disabled-friendly, it would be easier for disabled inmates”, said jail guard Sanjog Joshi.
