Journo’s code of conduct prioritizes women, children and senior citizens

 The latest issuance of journalist’s code of conduct-2073 has given a priority on a issues of women children and  a senior citizens.

Some areas which could not be covered by Journalist code of conduct- 2060 was included in new code of conduct- 2073.

According to the point-14 of new code of conduct, the journalists are prohibited to publish or collect news  which can affect children or women for a long run.

The press council has brought this code of conduct into implementation in order to address the development and  ill practice prevailing in media sector.

” While publishing news, journalists or media should not hurt self-esteem , discipline and sentiments of women, children or senior citizens”- the code of conduct states.
