Interaction on stakeholder’s role to minimize women violence

An interaction program on stakeholders role to minimize the women violence has been organized in Pokhara on October 2. The program was jointly organized by INSEC Gandaki Province office, youth group for Human Rights, NHRC Gandaki Province Office and People’s Forum.

Speaking at the program, provincial chief Deepak Dhwoj Jung Karki of NHRC for Gandaki province said that youth student’s role is essential on minimizing women violence.

“Legal remedies is essential for violence however minimizing violence is another important part of it”, he said. He added that youth role being responsible to minimize violence can be very effective.

He also said that there is a problem on implementation as constitution is not being accessible to each citizen.

INSEC Gandaki province coordinator Shiva Khakurel said that to build human rights friendly society,youth role is important. He added that youth must share their human rights knowledge within their community or society.

Advocate Bhuwan Parajuli said that citizens are being aware of legal knowledge which is positive aspect. She added that the violence incidents are being highlighted nowadays which shows that the legal awareness is increasing among the citizens.
