INSEC Provides Food Items To Krishnapur Municipality
Informal Sector Service Centre (INSEC) Sudur Paschim Provincial Office, Dhangadhi has handed over food items to Krishnapur Municipality.
The food items were handed over to the municipality office on April 30 with the objective of providing relief to the people who were in trouble during the lockdown issued by the government to prevent the transmission of coronavirus (COVID-19) which has spread like a pandemic all over the world.
The food items have been handed over to 15 extremely poor families affected by the lockdown under the KIOS Project run by INSEC Sudur Paschim Provincial Office, Kanchanpur District.
Khadak Raj Joshi, coordinator of INSEC Sudur Paschim Provincial Office, Dhangadhi, handed over 350 kg of rice, 30 kg of lentils, three cartons of oil, 30 kg of salt, 30 kg of sugar and 30 pieces of soap to Karna Bahadur Hamal, Mayor of Krishnapur Municipality.
Province Coordinator Joshi said that the role of all was important for the prevention of coronavirus infection and continued to play a supportive role for the protection of education, health, and food and housing rights at the local level by continuing coordination and cooperation with the local level.
According to Raj Kumar Chaudhary, Focal Person of INSEC Sudur Paschim Provincial Office, the KIOS project will be provided in collaboration with the Human Rights Monitoring Group at two local levels.
Mayor of Krishnapur Municipality Karna Bahadur Hamal said that INSEC’s support has been of great help in the food handover program.
