INSEC expresses its Grief on a demise of Dalit Movement Leader
INSEC has expressed its grief on a demise of Bal Dev Ram,67 a leader of Dalit and Haruwa Charuwa movement of Surunga Municipality-4, Madhupatti, Saptari on August 1.
INSEC released a press statement on August 2 and expressed its grief on a demise of Bal Dev Ram. The statement further expressed its tribute to him and condolence to the bereaved family members. “His demise has affected the overall Dalit Agitation of Nepal,” the statement says.
“ He fought like a hero for the eradication of ill-practices that prevailed among Dalit society,” the release said.
He was a founder chairperson of National Land Rights Forum, Dalit Awareness Sangampatti and Haruwa Charuwa Rights Forum. He was also a high level member at Land reform Commission.
