Informal Sector Service Centre (INSEC) has established Karnali Provincial Office in Surkhet on August 14. The office was jointly inaugurated by social development minister Dal Rawal of Karnali Province and INSEC chairperson Subodh Raj Pyakurel by unveiling the Signboard of the office.
While speaking at the program, minister Rawal praised INSEC for its contribution in human rights and social justice and especially during a decade long armed conflict. He said that he is committed for the protection and promotion of human rights in Karnali Province.
INSEC chairperson Subodh Raj Pyakurel said that NGOs are doing some important work which has supported the government. He stressed that NGOs must work coordinating with the state. He added that the civil society is working as a bridge between the state and people.
Administrative officer Padam Lamichhhane of District Administration Office said that INSEC has been spreading awareness in the society from a long time. The other participants praised INSEC for its contribution.
The program was organized in chairmanship of newly appointed INSEC Office Surkhet coordinator Narayan Subedi. The program was participated by right activists, legal practitioners, civil society and security. INSEC coordinator for province 5, Bhola Mahat facilitated the program.
