INSEC demands to probe Birtamod Incident
Informal Sector Service Center (INSEC) has demanded to conduct a fair investigation on the incident of loss of life of a civilian in Birtamod.
The press statement released and signed by INSEC regional coordinator Som Raj Thapa on October 29 has condemned the use of force by the security personnel without any information and killing a civilian in a firing. The statement also said that it is condemn-able that the rights activists were misbehaved using foul languages during the incident.
On October 27, 32 years old Naresh Thapa of Arjun Dhara Municipality-11 died in a police firing during a demonstration.
The statement said that it is a serious issue of civilian dying in a police firing who are supposed to maintain the peace.
The locals of Arjundhara-11 were agitated after the suspicious death of 11 years old Laxman Siwakoti.
