Inmates and Detainees facing difficulties due to dilapidated building
The inmates and detainees at District Prison of Doti are facing difficulties due to the dilapidated condition of the building. They are compelled to use plastic as a shelter to avoid water from leaking roof.
Chief District Officer (CDO) Yadav Prasad Subedi said that inmates and detainees are facing difficulties due to the leaking roof. He added that the building is very old and budget has been demanded for its renovation.
Due to the lack of finance the building could not be renovated on time risking the lives of inmates and detainees according to the prison chief Rajan KC.
The prison is overcrowded and they are facing various issues such as going to toilet, drinking water and even sleeping.
The prison building has a capacity to accommodate 45 inmates and detainees.
