Impunity is Obstacle in Society Development: Chairperson Pyakurel
Informal Sector Service Center (INSEC) chairperson Subodh Raj Pyakurel said that impunity has become an obstacle for social development and rights activists must be actively involved to end it.
He expressed his views while speaking at the program in Biratnagar on August 21 on a discussion program among rights activists organised by INSEC eastern regional office. Pyakurel said that impunity is flourishing because political parties have wrongly defined law and they have a superiority complex. He further added that politics are lacking in principle and being self centred.
Pyakurel said that Rights activists must get active in sustainable development, implementing recommendations of UPR and NHRC’s strategic plannings.
Activists have an essential role on alerting political parties to implement their commitment as a country is heading towards federal structure, he said.
