Impact Of INSEC Online: Support Initiated for Nau Family
An article regarding the Nau family of Narainapur was published in insecoline on 5 June 2020 after which different organizations and individuals have come together to help the family. The article was prepared by INSEC’s Province 5 coordinator Bhola Mahat and published in the news portal.
A 25-year-old man staying in the quarantine of Narainapur rural municipality had died on 17 May 2020. He was staying in the quarantine after returning from India. The article mentioned that the family of the deceased has crucial financial condition and the house they have been living in is also not safe.
After the article was published, Dr Nitesh Kanodiya of Nepalgunj Medical College helped the family with rs one hundred thousand for building their house. Likewise, Narainapur rural municipality provided rs 50 thousand and chairperson of the rural municipality Ishtiyaq Ahamad also provided rs 50 thousand to the family.
After reading the article published by INSEC, the family was supported financially, informed Dr Kanodiya.
Food-grains were distributed to other deprived families of the area along with the Nau family. According to Sunil Shrestha of Nepal Bar Association, support is being collected for the Nau family after INSEC’s coordination and financial support of Fill the Bucket in association with FWLD, Lion’s Club of Nepalgunj and PNLF.
