Human Rights Year Book Must give stress on Human Rights Protection: Chief Judge Dr Bhurtel

Chief judge of high court, Kul Ratna Bhurtel said that human rights year book must stress on protecting the human rights rather than only focusing on rights violation part. He epressed his view while speaking at an program on publicizing human rights year book 2017 in Biratnagar on February 18.

He added that the constitution has given a lot of space for human rights however it is being hard to ensure it, so INSEC must draw its attention in this area. He even urged INSEC to initiate to inform citizens about the 31 fundamental rights guarenteed by the constitution.

He recomended that the book must have access to the lower level of people and community aswell.

In the program, CPN UML central member Dr Shiva Maya Tumbahamphe, former CA member Jaya Ram Yadav of Fedral socialist Forum and CPN Maoist central member Namita Neupane had put their views about the Nepal Human Rights Year Book.
