Human Rights not Satisfactory in Jumla: Report says
The NHRC regional office of Jumla has made public a report saying that the Human Rights situation of the district is not satisfactory. The report was made public on the occasion of 17th establishment day of NHRC.
Acting office chief Kumari Mahara of NHRC regional office Jumla said that the monitoring made in Jumla, Mugu and Kalikot shows that the human rights situation of these district are not satisfactory.
She said ” during monitoring we found that 180 students studying in one class room, shortages of medicine in health organizations, expired medicine , negligence of governmental officers , child marriage and child labor”.
The monitoring found that the malnutrition is increasing in the district. The monitoring has found that people are deprived of their fundamental rights.
