Human Rights documentation must be linked with civil sensitivity: chair person Pyakurel

Chairperson Subodh Raj Pyakurel of Informal Sector Service Centre (INSEC) said that documentation of human rights violation must be linked with the sensitivity of the citizens. He expressed his view while speaking at the program on Human Rights Year Book Manual reformation workshop held in Dhulikhel of Kavre on April 25 and 26.

He said that the human rights year book is being published in support and coordination from civil leaders and rights activist. He added that people engaged in documentation must play important role in protection and promotion of human rights.

Chairperson Pyakurel stressed on analyzing the incident of human rights violation by studying national and international treaties and conventions.

He also stressed that INSEC’s role must be in local level as judicial committee is formed within the local level.

INSEC executive Director Bijaya Raj Gautam said that the human rights year book manual is transformed based on changing situation of the country and the workshop is based on this issue.

Media expert Binod Bhattarai facilitated the workshop and stressed that the pattern of Human Rights publication must be uniform.

Madan Paudel of Human Rights documentation department said that the manual is being changed based on the demand of time.

The workshop is participated by the representatives from INSEC central staffs and coordinator from all five offices.
