High level Investigation Commission studying Rangeli Incident
The commission formed for the investigation of violence, murder, arson and incidents of vandalism during the Madhes movement has discussed with the concerned stakeholders in Rangeli of Morang on March 2.
Last year, on January 20, at least three people were killed during a clash between Madhesi Morcha and Police in an assembly in Rangeli on Terai- Madhes Jagaran campaign organized by Youth Federation.
The team had separately met the local morcha leaders, injured, victim’s family and those related in the incident.
The team led by the commission’s chairperson Girish Chandra Lal said that the recommendations will be presented to the government after the fact finding.
The commission which had started its investigation four months ago has been studying the incident of Tikapur, Jhapa, Sunsari and Morang. The commission will present the report to the government with in six months.
