Government shows apathy on delivering justice: Victim’s family

The victims family of three children killed in Maryangdanda at Arun Rural Municipality-3 , one and half years ago, are still looking for justice.

Three children Pradeep Phuyal,8, Sushma Phuyal,14 and 15 years old Ranjit Sapkota went missing om 2017, June 24 and their bodies were recovered from the pond belonging to local Toran Karki the next day.

The victim’s family claimed that they were killed by an unidentified people during the eve of local level election and their killing is still suspicious and no one has been charged yet.

The victim’s father of Sushma and Pradeep said that they had already lodged complaint in concerned bodies but till now no justice has been provided to them.

They added that they are further victimized as the government failed to nab the killers.

Rural municipality chairman Gajendra Bahadur Karki said that on behalf of the Rural Municipality, the concerned body has been informed many times but no action is taken yet.

Former investigation Bureau (CIB) said that the victims died due to the drowning in the pond rather than killing.

Their death is very suspicious and victim’s party are not in a position to accept that it was accident.

Information officer Charitra Bikram Karki of DPO said that investigation was conducted by tracing the call details of 65 people however no evidences were found . The case was investigated by the team led by former zonal police chief Uttam Kumar Karki and DSP Kaji Kumar Acharya however they could not reach to the conclusion. The postmortem of the body was conducted at District Hospital on June 26, 2017.
