General Assembely of Human Rights Coordination Committee held
The general assembly of Human Rights Treaty Monitoring Coordination Committee (HRTMCC) has been held in Kathmandu on February 22.
Speaking at the program, chairperson Krishna Subedi said that the centre’s importance will rise if its activities could be unified with coordination committee. He added that because of the centre’s hypothesis, 295 human rights organizations are centred in one place while preparing report for UPR.
INSEC Executive Director Bijaya Raj Gautam stressed that all member organizations must show their uniity to make it more active. He added that the identity of the centre is global. Speaking at the program, Samjha Shrestha of INSEC and on behalf of the Secretariat said that the centre has 78 human rights organizations affiliation.
