Extension of ministry cabinet against election code of conduct: EC
The Election Commission said that the extension of ministry cabinet after the enforcement of election code of conduct is a violation of code of conduct. The Commission said that it has already enforced the election code of conduct for the scheduled provincial and house of representative election in November and extension of minister’s cabinet is violation of CoC.
Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has added three ministers on September 11 to extend his cabinet. The commission on a same day had released press statement stating that the extension of ministers are against the code of conduct.
The commission has also drawn the attention saying that the extension of ministers can affect the fairness and freedom of election.
