Govinda Sharma Paudyal, commissioner of NHRC has stressed that economic, social and cultural rights must be prioritized in Year Book.
He stressed that such rights must be given importance while publicizing the year book while speaking at the program on issue of human rights situation in bordering area and Human Rights Year book-2019 review program held in Baitadi.
“INSEC must give special priority to health issues, unemployment, cast and gender based discrimination and government services issues”. He added “ We are happy to see that INSEC Baitadi has give first priority to social rights on its first page of the report”.
Speaking at the program, NHRC spokesperson and commissioner Mohana Ansari said that the issues of lawyer in the district must be addressed and recommended that district court must initiate for this.
While praising the contribution of INSEC in human rights and social justice, chairperson Parbati Bhatta of women network recommended INSEC to highlight the incidents that are hidden in remote parts of the country.
