Ending impunity is necessary for Human Rights protection: Rights Activists
The human rights activists in the program said that ending of impunity is necessary for the protection of human rights in the country.
They expressed their views while speaking at an interaction program on human rights situation organized by INSEC in Kathmandu on December 31.
The speakers stressed on raising awareness against the women violence, reforming laws and its effective implementation and demotivating the impunity trend for the protection and promotion of human rights of the country.
Speaking at the program, NHRC member Govinda Sharma Paudel said that for good governance, ending of corruption and impunity is very important. He added that the country must head towards prosperity and progression along with ending corruption.
INSEC general secretary Ramesh Chandra Paudel said Economic, Social and Cultural (ESC) rights must be ensured so that Civil and Political Rights can be achieved.
INSEC mid-regional coordinator Krishna Gautam said that the final preparation of Human Rights Year book is in final stage and asked for the recommendation.
In the program, INSEC mid-region documentation Office Raju Paswan presented the incidents of human rights violation in the district under province number 2 and 3 with in the six months.
