Election Office says 60 Percent ID cards were distributed
The election office has confirmed that sixty percent of the voter’s ID cards have been distributed in the district until September 17. There was an exuberant participation of the people in getting voter’s ID.
The office said that only 60 percent of the cards were distributed. District polling Officer Mahesh Kumar Thakur said that the distribution of voter’s id was completed in all 462 polling centers of 295 polling center.
Election Officer said that voters who could not get voter’s id can cast their votes with citizenship card.
In Saptari, there are 3,31,462 voters of which 1,60,686 are female, 1,70,755 male and 21 third gender voters.
