District Monitoring Committee and CCCE Formed
The meeting held in Palpa by the active Human rights affiliated organizations has formed a District monitoring committee for local level election.
According to INSEC district representative Yagya Murti Timilsina of Palpa, the committee consists of coordinator as district representative Yagay Murti Timilsena and Trilochan Paudel, chairperson of HURON, Palpa.
Similarly, members consist of Chairperson Madhav Basyal, chairperson of Human Rights Education Forum, coordinator Rajendra Basyal of COCAP and Shanker Bhandari of National Observation Committee.
The committee has decided to monitor the situation of violation of election code of conduct and report the situation to the concerned authority.
Similarly, the meeting held by the active human rights affiliated organization of Rupendehi district has formed a District monitoring committee for the monitoring of second phase of the election.
Three members committee consists of INSEC district representative Reema BC, District secretary Pawan Paudel of HURON ad Milan Gaha of ACORAB.
According to our INSEC district representative Shiva Prasad Dhungana, a district level CCCE network has been formed in Okhaldhunga. The network was formed in in a meeting of district level awareness group in coordination of INSEC district representative. The committee consists of 11 members from FNJ, NGOs, National Farmers Group Federation, NEOC and representative of District level community radio. The network will monitor the violation of election code of conduct so as to make the election clean and fair.
According to INSEC district representative Nanda Ram Paudel of Kapilbastu, a Citizen’s Campaign for Clean Election (CCCE) has been formed in the district with the objective to make the second phase of election more fair and clean. The assembly of the organizations doing observation during the election has formed the committee. The committee has been formed in chairmanship of Ram Dayal Thakur of HURON.
The committee consists of INSEC district representative Nanda Ram Paudel as a secretary and members as Pravin Kumar Shewastav of NGO federation, Pashupati Mani Tripathi of NEOC, Maya Gyawali of Nepal Voters Rights Forum, Hari Adhikari, secretary of FNJ, Bhola B.K of Nepal Bar Association unitary, Kapilvastu, general secretary laxmi Shrestha of MAHURI Home and Basanta Banjade of common campaign for change.
According to INSEC district representative Manohar Kumar Pokhrel of Saptari, 11 members network has been formed in Saptari. The network includes INSEC district representative Manohar Kumar Pokhrel,Pramila Kumari Chaudhary, treasurer of community radion broadcasting federation, Arun Pradhan of Saptari trade and commerce federation, Civil society member Than Singh Vansali, chairman Shuva Nandan Chaudhary of NGO federation Saptari, central committee member Sanjeev Bikram Shah of Madhesi Journalist Association, Upendra Shah and officer Dev Narayan Chaudhary of Helping Society Project.
