Deepak Manange administered oath
Deepak Manange (Rajeev Gurung), who was elected provincial assembly member of Gandaki province from Manang (B) as an independent candidate, was administered oath of office and secrecy on Monday.
Speaker of the Gandaki Provincial Assembly Netranath Adhikari administered the oath of office and secrecy to Gurung amid a programme.
Manange, who was barred to take oath as he was sentenced by the then Appellate Court, Patan to five years in jail on the charge of attempted murder was released from jail following a Supreme Court order recently.
After release from the jail, he had submitted an application to the speaker asking to administer oath to him.
Following the oath, lawmaker Manange said that he would support government on the basis of its performance.
