Death of A Woman In Police Custody
Revati Kumari Raut aka Radhika, 30, of Katani in Gujra Municipality-2, has died in police custody at the Women and Children Service Centre, Garuda on September 30.
According to DSP Bharat Shrestha of the District Police Office, Rautahat, the woman, who had gone to bed after dinner, had died on September 30.
The woman was taken into custody at the Area Police Office, Chandranigahapur and was kept at the Women and Children Service Centre, Garuda on the same day.
According to DSP Shrestha, Raut was diagnosed with epilepsy during the health check-up. Shrestha said that the post-mortem of the body was conducted at the District Hospital, Gaur on October 1 and the funeral was held on the same day.
DSP Shrestha informed that detailed information will be available only after the post-mortem report on the incident arrived.
