Death Of A Person In Police Custody
Amar Bahadur Chand, 45, of Phulbari Sigaun in Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan-14 has died in the custody of the Border Police Station at Phulwari on August 12.
Inspector Hikmat Thapa of the District Police Office, Kailali told the INSEC representative over phone that he was arrested on the night of August 11 and was kept at the Border Police Station after the locals informed the police about the fight he had after getting drunk.
Inspector Thapa said that right now it was not possible to say how Chand died as his body was found inside the toilet of the police station.
His dead body has been taken to Seti Provincial Hospital for Postmortem, informed the police.
