Dalit Commission Demanded to take action against the accused Rapist

National Dalit Commission has demanded to initiate the action against the accused of raping 13 years old girl.

A team led by commission’s member Manjit B.K has urged to take action and provide support to provide justice to a 13-year-old girl. The commission’s member urged to provide justice during an interaction program with journalists and activists organised at Manthali on September 25.

It was informed that the complaint against Prajjowl Pathak, 23 of Doramba VDC-6 was lodged at District Police Office on June 19 on charge of raping a girl on March 27, 2016.

The commission’s member accused police administration of denying registering the case in first instance and lingered to arrest the accused saying that he is at large.

The complaint against the accused has also been lodged at Dalit Commission on July 21 however police did not show any activity on arresting the accused.

He added that the monitoring of the incident has been initiated by the commission after police did not show its concern in this particular issue. He further urged an immediate action against the accused.

The District Police Office said that the search for the accused is undergoing. The victim underwent a health check up on June 19.
