CPN UML Cadre killed in a clash

Hansa Bahadur Rawat, 55 of Chededaha Village Council-5 was killed on June 18 in a clash between Nepali Congress cadres and CPN UML cadres at the same Village council. The deceased is a cadre of CPN UML. The clash started during the process of registering candidacy nomination.

The incident site is about one kilometer away from the nomination place according to DSP Dal Bahadur Bogati of District Police Office.

Hansa Bahadur Rawat was injured in a clash and was rushed to Dogadi Health Post and was referred to District Hospital where he died on the way according to Chief Rup Chandra B.K of District Police Office.

In a clash, Dhan Bahadur Nath and Bal Bahadur Rokaya were seriously injured and were rushed to the hospital. There are no exact descriptions of how many people were injured in a clash according to DSP Bogati.

The registration of candidacy nomination started from 8 in the morning and the process was peaceful apart from Chededaha Village Council according to police.

As per the final voters list publicized by Election Commission of Bajura, there are 32521 male, 32,427 female and two third gender voters in the district according to District Election Officer Shubhadra Gautam.

The security of the district has been tightened after the incident according to CDO Devendra Lamichhane. Out of 92 polling centers of the district, 33 were categorized as very sensitive, 30 were tagged as sensitive and nine are normal. The security has been managed based on these categories.
