Court slams one and half years on charge of attempted rape
The District Court of Uayapur has ordered to sentence 54 years old Ram Bahadur Rai of Khotang Rajapani-5 and 55 years old Damber Bahadur Magar of Rautamai-4 for one and half years after finding him guilty on attempting to rape 33 years old woman. The accused was remanded in custody for investigation.
A single bench of district court judge Tejendra Prasad Sharma Sapkota had given the verdict regarding the case. The victim had lodged a complaint at District Police Office of Bokse on October 16 against the accused.
She underwent a health checkup at District Hospital on October 18. Both the accused were arrested on a same day and were presented to the court and court ordered to remand them in custody on November 9.
