Court Slams life sentence to the accused murderer
The District Court of Siraha has ordered to sentence four accused for life along with the confiscation of their property on charge of murdering 14 years old Srawan Bhandari after abducting him. The court has also ordered to penalize them Rs 50,000 each along with Rs 3500 compensation.
In a same incident, the court has ordered to sentence three of them for 11 years with penalty of Rs 50,000 and compensation of Rs 3500.
The accused who were given a life sentence by the court are Umesh Yadav, 27 alias Dinesh of Sukhipur village council-6, Laxmi Bhandari, 53, Ram Krishna Sharma, 20 of Sukhipur village council-1 and 27 years old Amod alias Amar Kumar Saphi.
Similarly, 55 years old Bindehswor Yadav of Mohanpur Kamalpur, 55 years old Dhan Jit Yadav and 19 years old Ram CHaran Water were given 11 years sentence.
A single bench of District court judge Rajendra Prasad Adhikari has given a verdict regarding the case.
The dead body of the victim was exhumed from the field after he was abducted on May 25, 2015. The postmortem of the body was conducted at Ram Kumar Uma Prasad Hospital on June 5. The victim’s mother had lodged a complaint at DPO Siraha on a same day.
