Court slams five years on charge of sexual abuse
The District Court of Saptari has ordered to sentence 19 years old Mahabud Miya of Rajgadh Rural Municipality-2 for five years after finding him guilty on raping eight years old girl.
A single bench of District Court judge Umesh Koirala had given the verdict regarding the case on January 13. Other two boys invoved in a same incident were acquitted by the court.
The victim’s mother had lodged complaint of rape however it was verified as an attempted rape and court ordered for five years sentence to the convict. The convict is at large after the court order according to police.
The victim’s mother had lodged complaint of rape at Area Police Office on August 31. She underwent health checkup at Gajendra Narayan Singh Sagarmatha Zonal Hospital on a same day.
Prior to the order from the court, same judge had ordered to release Mahabud on a bail amount of Rs 15,000 on September 28.
