Court Slams 17 years to a rape Convict
The District Court of Palpa has ordered to sentence 22 years old Kaushar Miya of Betiya India, currently living at Rampur Municipality-4 for 17 years on June 23 after finding him guilty on raping seven years old girl.
A single bench of District Court judge Shanker Baral had given the verdict regarding the case. The court has also ordered for Rs 43,000 as a penalty to the convict.
The victim was raped by the convict on November 15 and on a same day the complaint was lodged against him by the victim’s family.
He was arrested on November 16 and was remanded in custody since then. On November 25 she underwent health checkup at District Hospital according to the police.
