Court Slams 15 years 6 Months to a Rape Convict
The District Court of Dang has ordered to sentence 66 years old father-in-law residential of Rajpur Rural Municipality-4, Dang for fifteen years six month after finding him guilty on raping 35 years old daughter-in-law.
A single bench of District Court judge Hariprasad Sharma Upadhaya Pangyani has given the verdict of 8 years sentence for rape and 7 years 6 months more for committing affinity.
Court’s administrative officer Dhaniprasad Chapai informs that guilty is charged 50 thousand rupees fine and 1 lakh 50 thousand rupee compensation money to victim as court verdicts.
The convict had raped the woman on 4th December, 2018 and on 5th December the complaint against him was lodged at District Police Office by the victim’s acquaintances.
The accused after the incident was arrested by the police on 5th December. The victim underwent health checkup at Lamahi hospital on a same day the complaint was lodged.
