Court penalizes and ordered for sentence on charge of changing statement
The District Court of Dailekh had ordered to sentence two girls for seven days along with the penalty of Rs 2,000 on charge of changing their statement on rape case. Both girls lodged complaint against rape at police office and the case was registered in the court however they changed statement saying that they registered the case on pressure from the villagers.
One of the girl lodged complaint against Yagya Prasad Bhattarai,30 of Narayan Municipality-3 on charge of rape however, they changed the statement at last.
Similarly, in other case the victim’s party of 20 years girl had lodged complaint at District Police Office accusing Bishnu Shahi, 23 of Dullu Municipality-10 of raping her after beating however the woman changed the statement after the case was lodged at court. The court has acquitted both accused.
