Court gives verdict on various incidents of rape
The court in various district of the country has given a verdict in cases of rape.
According to INSEC district representative Deependra Adhikari of Chitwan, the district court of Chitwan has ordered to sentence 42 years old Prakash Shrestha of Bharatpur Metropolitan city-22 for 10 years after finding him guilty on molesting seven years old girl.
A sing;e bench of district court judge Subash Babu Puri has given a verdict regarding the case. The court has also ordered for a compensation of Rs 1,00,000 to the victim through Women and Children Office.
The victim’s father had lodged a complaint at District Police Office on August 14 on charge of molesting a girl on August 13.
The accused was arrested by the police on August 14 and victim underwent a health checkup at Bharatpur hospital on August 15.
Similarly, Anil Pariyar , 22 of Narayani municipality-5 has been sentenced for two and half years by a district court on March 27 after finding him guilty on raping 22 years old woman. A single bench of district court judge Narayan Subedi has given a verdict on the case.
The victim had lodged a complaint against the accused at DPO on November 5 accusing him of raping her on November 4. The accused was arrested on a same day by the police. The victim underwent a health checkup at Bharatpur hospital on November 8.
According to district representative Indira Bhattarai of Morang, the district court has ordered to sentence 70 years old Basudev Koirala of Biratnagar sub-metropolis-6 for five years on March 27 after finding him guilty on raping 14 years old girl.
A single bench of district court judge Prakash Raut has given a verdict regarding the case. The court has also ordered for a compensation of Rs 1, 00,000 to the victim from accused.
The victim girl was raped by an accused on 2016, February 29 and complaint against him was lodged at DPO on March 1 . The incident was revealed after the victim attempted to commit suicide after the incident. The accused was arrested on March 3.
According to Dang district representative J.N Sagar, a 46 years old Bal Krishna B.K of Shantinagar village council-2 was sentenced by a district court for 10 years on March 26 after finding him guilty on raping six years old girl. A single bench of district court judge Komal Prasad Acharya had given a verdict regarding the case. The court has also ordered for a compensation of Rs 35,000 from the accused.
The victim was raped on January 16 and the complaint against him was lodged by the victim’s family on January 17 at Area Police Office of Tulsipur.
