Court Declares 11 Years’ Of Imprisonment To Rape Accused
The district court has sentenced Bharat Rana Magar, 24, of Rautamai Rural Municipality-8 to 11 years and 6 months in prison for raping a 16-year-old girl.
A bench of Judge Deepak Khanal found him guilty and ordered him to pay Rs 50,000 as compensation along with the imprisonment, informed Raj Kumar Acharya, Information Officer of the court.
The victim had complained against the accused at the District Police Office on November 17, 2019, accusing him of raping the girl.
Based on the complaint of the victim, the accused was arrested by the police on the same day and a case was registered in the district court on November 21.
The accused were remanded in custody for trial on the order of the district court on December 16.
The girl’s health examination was conducted at the District Hospital on November 17.
