Complaint lodged against ward chairman on charge of rape
The victim’s family of 18 years old girl has lodged complaint against ward chairman Jhak Bahadur Kumal of Ghiring Rural Municipality-4 on May 11 on charge of rape.
The victim’s party claimed that the accused had raped a girl on May 7 and demanded for justice.
Inspector Babu Ram Pokhrel of District Police Office said that the complaint along with the victim has been sent to Area Police Office of Kawasoti for further investigation.
The victim underwent health checkup at District Hospital of Damauli on May 11. Police said that the ward chairman is out of contact after the incident and search for him is going on.
