Complaint Filed Against The Accused Of Murder After Rape
A complaint has been lodged against a 16-year-old boy at the District Police Office, Bajhang on September 25 on a charge of raping and killing 12-year-old Samjhana Kami, a 6th grader of Matta Basic School. The victim was raped and killed on September 23.
The complaint was lodged against Bohara at the District Police Office on September 25 for raping and killing the girl, informed Kalla Kami, 62, grandfather of the victim in a meeting with INSEC representatives.
The family of the victim informed that the victim had gone to the cowshed half an hour away from the house to feed the cows, did not return home till evening. The family found her dead body near a Shiva temple located at Masta Rural Municipality-2.
DSP Rupak Khadka of the District Police Office, Bajhang told INSEC over the phone that the investigation would be easier as the victim had lodged a complaint against Bohora on September 24.
Although the post-mortem of the body was done at the District Hospital, Simkhet on September 24, it has not been cremated yet.
The deceased’s grandfather Kalla Kami said that he would not cremate the body until strict action is taken against the person involved in the incident.
Activists, families of the victims and students’ organizations have also staged a protest at the district headquarters Chainpur on September 26 demanding strict action against those involved in the incident.
