Commitment of not using children in election
The various political leaders of the district have shown their commitment of not using children during election and any election related activities. The leaders have shown their commitment during the program organized by the District children wale fare committee of Ramechhap on April 25.
Representatives of various political leaders and stake holders of the district have signed an eight point commitment in a meeting chaired by the chairman Surya Bahadur Khatri of District Children Wale fare commitment. The commitment letter states that no children will be used during the election and election related activities. They have shown commitment of not performing any activities that violates children’s right.
The commitment paper was signed by leader Jhapad Raj Bhandary of Nepali Congress, CPN UML vice-secretary Jhamka Kandel, Maoist (Centre) committee member Tara Narayan Shrestha, Surendra KC of RPP and many others.
Chief District Officer Khatri urged everyone to strictly follow the Code of Conduct of the election commission. The committee has been formed with the chairmanship of Satya Devi Adhikari of Women and Children Office to monitor whether children have been used during an election or not.
