Commission’s team reaches Saptari to Monitor Flood victims
A team of NHRC have reached Tilathi, Koiladi and Gobardanda VDCs of Saptari district in order to find out the human rights situation of flood victims.
Commission’s member Mohana Ansari, Govinda Sharma Paudel, Human Rights officers Basudev Bajgain and Shyam Babu Kafle have reached the VDCs and gathered the information regarding health, education, toilet and drinking water.
The team had met CDO Bal Dev Gautam, SP Bhim Prasad Dhakal and SP Jaya Bahadur Khadka of Armed police and gathered the information on flood affected areas. The team has also given necessary recommendations according to the officer Shyam Babu Kafle.
The flood has affected Tilathi, Gobardanda and Koiladi VDC. There is an epidemic of diarrhea in Ward no 2,4,6,7 and 9 of Koiladi VDC.
