Commission urges political parties to follow CoC
The regional office of Morang has urged the political parties of the district to follow the election code of conduct (CoC). The all party meeting at Biratnagar on June 15, the commission urged the parties not to use vests or T-shirts having election symbol, posters as complaints has been lodged on such offences.
The Election commission has shown its concern on the increasing code of conduct violation in the district as the election date is approaching.
The parties were alerted in the program which was participated by chief election officer of Morang and representatives form the political parties.
Similarly, chief of regional election office of Biratnagar, Prem Prasad Sanjel alerted the political parties to immediately remove the pamphlets and flags which are kept against the election code of conduct.
He warned that the candidacy of the candidate might be dropped off if the violation of code of conduct continues.
The chief election office Binod Kumar Pokhrel of Morang said that political parties can set an example by moving forward without violating election code of conduct.
